Whale Beach SLSC’s brand-spanking new website has launched!

Check us out!

We have an exciting announcement to make… perhaps if you’re not already sitting down you should be, this is a biggie!

After years of planning and development, we are proud to release to the world our new Whale Beach SLSC website. This has been a project of epic proportions, with a small and dedicated team putting hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears into the production.

As this is a colossal project, it will be delivered in three phases. What you see here is phase one and delivers a great many features, however there is still much work to be done.

Let’s not forget that this has been an entirely voluntary operation, saving the club upwards of $15,000 for an external website development project.

A massive thanks must primarily go to Annika Harrisson for her tireless efforts in planning, designing and building this masterpiece.

Annika is a User Experience Designer by trade and without her expertise, this website would never have come to fruition. A huge thanks must also go to Andrew Pearce, Harry Smith and Ellie Keft for driving and assisting.

Why we love our new website

# 1 It’s easy to use

This new website aims to provide an intuitive experience to members, organisation partners and prospective members. It makes sense, you can do what you need to do, find out what you need to find out. And you can have a bit of fun while doing it.

# 2 New members will find it easier to get involved

New members will be now able to easily find everything they need to become a member of the club; FAQs, facility descriptions, membership categories and prices, pathways to further education, patrol expectations and who to contact with any issues.

# 3 Current members can get things done quickly

You’ll be able to easily access their patrol rosters, sign up for proficiencies, renew memberships and gain info on upskilling opportunities in the ‘Education’ tab.

# 4 The Whale Beach and Northern Beaches Community can stay up-to-date with us easily

We’ll be posting news and updates here so that our whole community can both share in our triumphs and stay in the loop. You’ll see our Facebook and Instagram updates, blog posts and media updates. You can even download our well-received In Conversation – Women of Whale Beach publication for free and read about our impressive history as pioneers in female surf life saving.

# 5 Our social, training and competitions calendar is about to go OFF!

A very important new feature of this website is the Calendar function, where you’ll be able to see what’s happening throughout the season, sign up for courses and buy tickets to events. Have a play around here as this will become your new best friend when it comes to planning your season of social events, training, competitions and patrols.

So go on, have a play around and see how you like it! If you do have any urgent feedback, email admin@whalebeachsurfclub.org
